PipeNetDeviceComponent refactor (#2912)

* Removes inheritance of PipeNetDeviceComponent

* Enables nullable in piping

* Piping error messages report the prototype

* Moves PipeNetDevice updating to ComponentMessage

* Build fix

* Review fixes

* review fix 2
